The sample centerpiece...

Eeeeee!!!

LOVE THIS. Love.

Here is the centerpiece sample that our fabulous and wonderful (and pretty!) florist made for us and brought over to the house last night for us to check out. (The whole house smelled like roses this morning! It's a small house, though, so that makes sense.) We were working with the image below as our "inspiration" for the centerpieces, and I think she hit it pretty darned spot on.The inspiration is a bit smaller, but since we have 72" round tables we'll be setting, we needed more diameter on ours. There are 40 roses in there!
The container she used is just a temporary one...she thought she had one that would work, but it was only 13" round, and we need 15". So she's going to be looking for that at this point, and I hope she finds it! The ribbon wrapped around the base is lumpy and wobbly looking because of the material she used to create the "vase". It was just a thin plastic thing...I don't even know for sure what it all is, actually!

Jess didn't like the arrangement as much as I did. He feels that there should be more separation between the flowers and the base. Drue (our florist) had cut the roses really short, so it was hard to play with the arrangement much, but we pulled some up and took the picture below to get an idea of what might make him a bit more happy.
I still think it looks pretty, so I'm fine with whatever. As long as it's flat, I'm good to go. Eeee!!!

Ahhhhh! I like that. I was a bit worried about the way the ribbon was laying, but her explanation makes sense. :) What color are you going with? Have you decided that yet? Is that the color you are using? (If so, I LOVE it, btw)
